  • At least 2 years' concrete work experience as an Online Marketer
  • Excellent communication skills in the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.

Are you looking forward to the next step in your career as a Junior Brand Manager? With us, you will get this opportunity! We would like to take you into the world of Brand Management, where you will be supervised by our Senior Brand Manager. Together, you will work on marketing campaigns, in which you will be involved from concept to implementation. You will also monitor and optimise the corporate identity, with the aim of strengthening Van Heijster’s positioning. Optimising the webshop is also part of your job, whereby you devise and test new features.

In addition, you are in weekly contact with our external marketing agencies and discuss the SEO and SEA results. You will also provide support in optimising and writing SEO texts.

You also like to share your knowledge and ideas. This is how you discover new opportunities in the market, which strengthen your brand position. In addition, you support the development and realisation of your brand and marketing annual plans for Van Heijster. Together with three enthusiastic Brand Managers of our other brands, you will be part of the central marketing division of Favorite Gifts.

What you're going to do

  • Be distinctive in strengthening the brand positioning of the Van Heijster brand;
  • Support in developing innovative concepts based on existing market and customer needs;
  • Support in drawing up the marketing annual plan with starting points, priorities and objectives for the positioning and profiling of the Van Heijster brand. You will do this in accordance with the commercial and marketing policy, allocated budget and in close consultation with the Sales Manager, Senior Brand Manager and the CMO;
  • Collaborating with external marketing agencies for SEO and SEA campaigns;
  • Present and explain the marketing annual plan in commercial meetings;
  • Assist in translating the annual plan into concrete actions within the established marketing policy. As well as recording related activities in the marketing calendar, in close consultation with the Sales Manager, Senior Brand Manager and the CMO;
  • Support the creation of both on- and offline marketing communications for Van Heijster. You do this in close consultation with the Marketing Creations Manager and on the basis of clear briefings;
  • Assessing results together and making adjustments in case of deviations from targets;
  • Optimising the webshop and testing new features. This also includes carrying out optimisations in the field of landing pages and category pages.

Who we're looking for

  • A completed HBO-/WO-education, for example in the direction of Marketing or Commercial Economics;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;
  • At least 2 years’ work experience within your own field of work;
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and you can take a beating;
  • Hands-on mentality and a positive attitude;
  • Ability to work within deadlines while also being able to respond to ad-hoc opportunities.
